Oksana Wankiewicz- Registered Kinesiologist

Oksana completed her Masters degree in Professional Kinesiology at the University of Toronto after obtaining her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology. She then went on to become certified as a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (CKO), and completed a certification in Office Ergonomics, performing assessments to measure workplace physical demands and evaluate functional capacity for injury prevention. The combination of her degrees has allowed her to become a qualified practitioner in movement education, injury and disease prevention, management and rehabilitation, to help others achieve improvements in their overall health and performance. She emphasizes the use of evidence-based research to improve function and develops personalized programs to ensure her clients are moving and performing at their best.
Oksana’s desire to help others achieve a high level of performance stems from her competitive background as a rower at the University of Toronto. She translates a level of high performance and dedication to her clients to ensure they achieve success, whether it be in sport or everyday activities. Her clinical experiences involve exercise rehabilitation for neuromuscular dysfunctions, sport injuries, and chronic disease. More specifically, her rehabilitative interests include shoulder, ankle, hip and knee injuries, tendinopathies, and improving strength and function post-surgery. Oksana has also worked as a therapist and movement coach among a variety of sports including rowing, volleyball, and ballet
Her treatment approach involves a philosophy that is rooted around an understanding of the mind-body connection. Her holistic outlook targets the individual, rather than the dysfunction alone, to build confidence and independence for long term performance. Oksana continues to attend seminars, research conferences, and enrolls in continued educational courses to stay up-to-date with the best available research evidence to guide her care.
